At Koch’s Corsos & Rescues, we believe that the biggest hearts often come in the largest packages. While many are intimidated by the stature of a Cane Corso or a Mastiff, we see beyond the size to the loyal, gentle companions they are meant to be.

As a proud veteran-owned and operated rescue, our mission is rooted in a deep-seated sense of duty and a commitment to those who cannot protect themselves. We bring the discipline, resilience, and heart of military service to the world of animal welfare, ensuring that every dog in our care receives the unwavering advocacy they deserve.

Our journey began with a simple observation: large-breed dogs face unique challenges in the rescue world. They require more space, specialized handling, and a deeper understanding of breed-specific temperaments—resources that standard shelters often struggle to provide. We stepped in to bridge that gap, applying a mission-first mindset to create a sanctuary where "giant" doesn't mean "unadoptable."
What We Provide
We don’t just "house" dogs-- we prepare them for a lifetime of success.
Our approach is built on three pillars:

Expert Rehabilitation
Many of our rescues come from difficult backgrounds. We invest time in behavioral assessment and physical socialization to ensure every dog regains their confidence.

Breed Advocacy
We are passionate about educating the public on the "gentle giant" nature of Corsos and Mastiffs, working to break the stigmas that often surround these powerful breeds.

Perfect Matchmaking
We take a "quality over quantity" approach to adoptions. By carefully vetting homes and understanding the specific needs of our dogs, we ensure that when a dog leaves our care, they are going to their last home, not just their next one.
